Editing - Visual Echo

I used the visual echo effect to create a dream-like atmosphere between the relationship of the Girl and the music artist. This could also hold connotations of love because of the colouration as well as drugs because of the slow distortion of vision.

POV Shots

Inspired by Gaspar Noe, I've used POV shots as a way to censor the artist.

Gaspar Noe - Cinematography

Colours, lighting and camera shots are so visually interesting in Gaspar Noe's Enter The Void.
I feel inspired to use POV shots that create a sense of understanding the character and creating an in-depth feeling.
The use of neon colours project the real urban and city-like theme of the film, such as clubbing and strip clubs, drugs and alcohol, presenting this youthful and gritty landscape.

Influences

Gaspar Noe - Love

I love the use of Gaspar Noe's intense and 'long' directing in his films, particularly Love. These screenshots demonstrate wide angle shots/ two shots to reveal a some-what relationship, as well as the setting. The setting is important here as it signifies cultural understanding and interests which reveal about the characters. The relationship between Murphy and Electra is shown through cinematography, and the use of lighting is heavily influenced creating warm and cold tones, connotations and a visually beautiful effect.
